Johannesburg, 18 July 2024 – In celebration of Mandela Day, Bio Elements (PTY) LTD proudly partnered with Plascon South Africa to support Bakone Community Home Based Care – a non-profit organisation in Soweto dedicated to providing care, protection, and educational support to underprivileged children.
A Day of Giving Back
The team at Bio Elements donated industrial-strength cleaning chemicals to assist the centre in maintaining a safe, hygienic environment for the children. The centre, which also includes Bakone Day Care, supports children from as young as 3 months up to 16 years, keeping them off the streets, helping with homework, providing meals, and offering a place of love and structure.
This initiative, hosted by Plascon, saw the centre being painted, cleaned, and revived as part of a larger Mandela Day drive. Bio Elements was honoured to contribute cleaning solutions to ensure the facility remains a healthy space for both children and caregivers.
“Bakone Community H.B.C. is more than just a daycare — it’s a place of warmth, love, and second chances,” said Nidia Prinsloo, spokesperson at Bio Elements. “We believe every child deserves a clean, safe place to grow. This donation is a small step towards helping make that happen.”
